CONCRETE BACKGROUND

With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, we are very knowledgeable about the most critical aspects of concrete scanning such as reliable locating of potential pre-stressed cable targets, tracing prospective rebar patterns and locating credible conduit targets buried in walls or floors.
The owner, Mike Weaver, has extensive experience in concrete construction. In fact, Mike has owned and operated multiple concrete construction firms and supervised a wide variety of complex projects including work performed at stadiums, airports and highways. Unlike many other GPR scanning companies, who outsource their work to sub-contractors or who use barely trained technicians, Mike brings more than a decade of construction experience and concrete installation knowledge to every project. Call Florida Concrete Scanning for reliable, expert concrete imaging and scanning with advanced GPR capabilities. You cannot afford to hire a trainee, instead call Mike at Florida Concrete Scanning today.

FAQ's

A: The cost of damaging a pre-stressed cable can be enormous, especially compared to the small expense of hiring a concrete scanning firm to identify the cable location. Similarly, damaging an oxygen line or cutting an electrical line can have devastating consequences that can easily be avoided by hiring a scanning firm.
A: Some common targets we are asked to locate are: pre-stressed cables, rebar, conduits and voids. Often, we are also asked to scan for significant variances in concrete thickness.
A: We only use professional grade multi-frequency GPR concrete scanners that are made and calibrated in the USA. We will sometimes also use a radio detection system to identify possible targets in conduits.
A: We are able to detect anomalies in concrete as deep as 48” in some cases, but this can be limited by the amount of rebar and other reinforcement that is present.
A: Every project is unique, but it is less time-consuming if we are searching for a specific target than if we are given an open-ended search request.
A: To our knowledge, we are the most affordable concrete scanning service in Florida. Please contact us for an estimate.
